Mapping the largest cycling tourism network in Italy
THE REQUEST
Initially, we were requested by the Sport and Tourism Department of the Region of Lombardy to map out a network of cycle paths covering the entire region. Subsequently, we were requested to promote the network by creating and publishing a website.
OUR SOLUTION
In 2007 we began tracing the first routes, producing detailed maps and road books to accompany them. Thanks to our modular surveying techniques, which permit us to trace the routes one section at a time, over the following years we were able to add new routes, creating the most extensive network of cycle paths on the Web: over 4000 kilometers of internet-accessible routes.
The user can create maps, road books and GPS plots automatically, before setting off to discover new territory.
